From Inspiration to Diamond
When Jackie (she/her) reached out to us, she was searching for the perfect diamond ring to celebrate her wedding anniversary with her husband. She already knew she loved the cushion cut - elegant, romantic, and timeless - and was drawn to the style of Taylor Swift’s engagement ring, though she wasn’t entirely sure which exact design spoke to her most.
Our journey began with finding her diamond. We presented several cushion-cut options across different ratios until Jackie discovered her ideal shape - a beautifully balanced 1.37 : 1 ratio that offered a soft yet refined silhouette.
After viewing 4-5 stones within the 3 to 5 carat range, Jackie selected a dazzling 4.11-carat cushion-cut diamond that struck the perfect harmony of size, sparkle, and proportion.
Designing the Setting
With the diamond chosen, we moved to the design phase. Jackie gravitated toward a solitaire setting with a hidden halo - a design that enhances brilliance while keeping the focus on the central stone.
We created a detailed design graph outlining her diamond weight, metal type, and band size for her review.
Once approved, production began. Within about a week, her first ring was ready for review via a video call.
A Change of Heart
During this stage, Jackie came across another design that resonated with her even more. We were delighted to help her evolve her vision. Our team recycled the platinum and 18 K gold from her original ring and refined the new design accordingly.
The adjustment added approximately 20 % to production costs, but the result was well worth it - a refreshed concept that perfectly captured Jackie’s taste and personality.
The Final Creation
After another week of careful crafting, we shared the final video of the completed piece. Jackie loved the outcome instantly. Once we got her confirmation, her custom-made ring was carefully packaged and shipped.
Just two weeks later, Jackie received her finished ring - a stunning, one-of-a-kind creation symbolising years of love and shared memories. From first consultation to final delivery, including the redesign, the entire process took around 4-5 weeks.
